Feed Missing error

I run a joomla 1.5x site and have been using the feed option for a few years now. Today the site didn't load except for a white screen with the following error:

FEED MISSING FROM: www.greycube.co.uk/lgsl/feed/lgsl_files/lgsl_feed.php RETURNED: No such file or directory :END

I also notice you have the same error on the front page of your website. Has the url changed? I see you moved to a new vps server. Just wondering when you will have an update on this.

For now I have disabled the module so my site loads.

replace in lgsl_config.php

Urgh, thanks for letting me know, the server was in a semi-suspended state due a billing issue.

I have submitted a ticket to the host, and hope to get it resolved in a couple of hours.

Ty Fast reply then i can set the feed to 1 again so i can see what happen

by the way why not make a check in the file so if there are no feed when u use an external feed then it goes back to u string 0 insted of 1 u can also tell in teh admin area at the feed are missing
at this way u will not get an error at the boards list

I may do that in the future.

Currently if the feed server is down you do not get an error, it switches to cache only.

But in this case, the feed was broken, the webserver was up but had an error, so LGSL showed a diagnostic message instead.

Any copy of LGSL can act as a feed server.

You just need it hosted where a firewall is not blocking the connections.

But a better solution is ask your hosting company to unblock the ports, then you do not need a feed at all.

Oke which ports do the need to set open?
If i now say Disable feed the servers are offline?

i have a own dedicated server will that help?

You need the query port opened, and it needs to be opened on the server hosting your website.

hey Rich The Feed are down

so if you not can provide it anyore are the maby some other mate some can provide a feed

my provider will not unlock the port so i real need a feed from another mate

Edit lgsl_config search :
$lgsl_config['feed']['url'] = "pubmaster.cgx24.com/lgsl/";

Replace with
$lgsl_config['feed']['url'] = "http://www.greycube.co.uk/lgsl/feed/lgsl_files/lgsl_feed.php";

NO LGSL , PHP & query valve and Mysql = http://expertcs.info/

This feed problem hasn't improved since you moved it to this server of yours Rich.
Joomla refuses to load when there are problems with the feed and our hosting company refuses to open the ports for direct feed so I'm forced to remove LGSL from our website.

Are there any other solutions?
Is it possible to host another feed like yours?

Our game servers are hosted on a dedicated server how much of a drain would it be to host this feed?

Need a special feed for lgsl work?

Confirmed...running LGSL with e107,waiting for the missing feed also slows down loading the page.
