Hi Everyone.

From what I understand and can make out reading the notes and posts here, Arma2 images for the maps for LGSL doesnt work. I believe this is because the game doesnt send the map detail out. I was wondering if it was possible to somehow create an image that would just display an arma 2 logo, instead of the greycube "no image" image - Just for that arma2 server?

So is there a way we can code a game to provide some sort of "if statement" to select an alternative image if a particular game doesnt have map image support?

At the moment, LGSL is perfect for me and I cant thank Rich enough for it. You can see it running here www.teamgamers.co.uk but at the bottom, our arma2 server is blank. It shows the players and map name, but no image, so it looks a bit dull.

Any help would be appreciated.

Create a folder heirarchy such as GSReaders\lgsl\lgsl_files\maps\arma2\arma2oapc and put your image in there. This works for standalone version.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, ok but what exactly do I name the images as mate? ( im new to the game too ).

Is the \arma2oapc significant ? I cant understand how that would work?

Yes the arma2oapc is significant and must be named as such. In your lgsl/admin.php page use the map images path button after you have added the server. This will show you the folder heirarchy. For the image itself arma2 does not return this info so just get the image you want and add it to the said folder. Map name needs to be same as server name (easiest to copy the name from the map image path). This image will be for any of the missions you run so make the image something that will work for all of the missions unless you plan on changing the image in the folder every time you run a different mission.

No mate, your jumping ahead I cheated by creating a generic image replacing the standard LGSL "no image" image.

I will look at it and see based on your previous post mate. Thanks for the info, I will let you know how I get on. I see what you mean about the path.

Mine shows as /lgsl_files/maps/arma2/arma2pc/05__st__et_velmoc__.jpg

Im glad you pointed that out as I would of missed it.

Much apprieciated for now, I will reply back soon with how I got on and, if I get it sorted, some images for other people to use if they wish. ( I cant seem to find any here )
