You're right - not the same. It`s work, but only through rcon-commands.
Here is an example of the query string (a little bit from full script):
"\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFFrcon your-rcon-password status";
$data fwrite($fp$query);
$data;  // response from the server.

Well, and now only need to parse the response.
