eCpatcha not working!?
faceless
Sun Nov 05 2006, 12:20AM
Guest I've installed ecaptcha and configured. But for some reasons I do not see any ecaptchas at all.
It's all like it was before without the addon installed. No matter if I'm logged in or not.

Do you have any ideas how I could get your great addon to work?

Thank you very much!

e107 Faceless ?

You only see the captcha after you submit something.

Please post the site your trying to get it working on, or pm me the details.

Hi Rich,

I have the same problem as faceless: although configured that every entry has to go via ecaptchas they do not show up. My URL is: www.demorgenster.com, I am using the CSV version of e107 (0.7.6 unstable).

Thanks in advance,
Addy

Ah, your using the CSV it is the development version.

Im told they have made changes and you need to rename

module.php

To

e_module.php

You may also need to edit the

plugin.php

And change module to e_module ( and possibly re-install the plugin )

Guest I'm running e107 .7.5 and I can't seem to see eCatcha working. I am trying to use it on my contact.php page.

eCatcha is set for guests only.

Thanks
Phil

You will have to add some code to get eCaptcha to work on any custom pages.

Take a look at the very bottom of the included readme.txt for example code.

( If its set only for guests make sure your logged out when testing it !!! )

ECaptcha 1.7 now comes with e_module as standard and ive updated the readme to include a better example of how to add ecaptcha to plugins and pages.

Guest Any reason why when updating it doesn't retain the previous settings Rich?

Its a pain I know, but I deliberately made it so upgrading writes the default settings as its the easiest way to ensure that the preferences are created for people upgrading from really old versions.

Doh, you need to have mbstring enabled on your PHP installation for mb_convert_encoding:

http://php.net/mbstring

I will make an updated version which falls back to the old method if its not available.

Ok logged onto my e107 site but can't see mbstring listed assuming it would be listed in php core section.
