I installed the live server 4.9 but when I tried to connect to my server (which worked when I did the cube test site) It showed : TYPE : IP : C PORT : Q PORT : S PORT : ZONE : DISABLED

I then went and looked below at the advance config and it had BZIP2 "NO"

I then called GoDaddy and asked them to enable BZIP2 and the tech there said I have to switch PHP to version 4.0

Is this true or is he blowing smoke up my arse?

You mean to tell me that you when you upgrade a program you leave out files that were in the previous version.

Let me know you thoughts.

Thanks guys.

You can run BZIP and PHP 5.

BZIP will not stop it querying your server, its only used to compress the server 'rules'. So without BZIP you will just be missing some information, but the current map etc will be shown.

Most common problem is port blocking, try enabling the feed and see if it works. If it does, then you can ask godaddy to unblock the port and then disable the feed.

Check out the included readme, it explains more.

You have to edit the lgsl_config.php
