Now all these files are chmodded to 777

/components/
/administrator/components/
/modules/
/administrator/modules/

There is a php.ini setting called 'open_basedir' which limits PHP to certain folders. It looks like your webserver does not have this setting correctly configured.

For Joomla you can configure a FTP option which will solve a lot of upload problems. You can find the option in 'Joomla Admin, Site, Global Configuration, Server, FTP Settings'

Note you will probably find further help on the Joomla forum if you search for the error message, as this is a general uploading problem.

What do you mean by "won't work"

If you mean your server shows offline, have you tried enabling the feed in the lgsl_config.php

I haven't recieved a PM yet, but because of the above problem, you may have rogue entries in your Joomla database.

First make sure you have deleted both folders:
/components/com_lgsl
/modules/mod_lgsl

Then load up phpMyAdmin and check the tables:
jos_components
jos_modules
And delete any entries for LGSL.

Then get your FTP settings correctly configured and try re-uploading the plugin.

Hey rich,

i figured it out and its working! i unpacked the rars and uploaded it seperitly to the tmp folder and pressed Install from Directory. Trowed the com_lgsl out of the tmp and uploaded the mod_lgsl to tmp folder and install it again in the option: from Directory in joomla. Wohooo!!

Great

Just a reminder that you should edit the lgsl_config.php and set the background colors to something darker that matches your theme.

( If you need to see why, look at one of the servers details page )
