GreyColorViewer helps those with total color blindness.
Being completely color blind can be problematic where color is used to link and separate.
GCV highlights instances of a color so it becomes visible from the other shades of grey.

The tool:

It sits in the system tray until clicked, then screen captures the primary desktop.
You then click on the capture overlay to highlight similar instances of color.
Also provides RGB values and a common name for the selected color.

There is no installer, just a single, portable .EXE to run.
GCV is free, open source, programmed in C# .NET

Aside from the tool, the C Sharp source code also includes a couple of useful helper classes
for safe, fast, bitmap pixel manipulation, using LockBits / UnlockBits / Marshal.Copy and

dnCurveBallPlayer is a bot for CurveBall aka 3D Pong.
The program tracks the green in the ball and moves the mouse pointer.
After capture has started, click once to launch the ball, middle click to stop.

Its purpose is to demonstrate fast screen capture and pixel tracking in native VB.NET
The source code included is for Visual Studio 2010.

Technical:

Capturing an image is straight foward, but reading the capture using GetPixel is slow.
The source code shows how to use LockBits and Marshal.Copy to transfer the image into a byte array.
You can then loop through the byte array in the style of GetPixel but much faster.
No references to GDI or external DLL are used.
